Is this the face of Bin Laden taunting us?The bush Administration claim they have found Osama Bin Laden’s hiding place.  It’s not as first believed in Pakistan or Afghanistan but in fact on planet mars. In telescopic satellite pictures released by the Pentagon there appears to be a face that is of Al Qaeda leader Osama Bin Laden.

The Bush administration claims the hierarchy of the terrorist group is on the planet mars and requests US congress to pass a bill for immediate funds to send a probe mission to hunt down the fiend. It’s not the first time a face like feature has been discovered on the surface of mars, On July 25th, 1976 Viking Orbiter 1 acquired the now famous image of a face like hill on the Martian surface. Then in October 1994, an image taken by a former soviet satellite showed what appeared to be the face of Judge Reinhold on the red planet’s surface.

The face of Judge Reinhold? It appeared in a 1994 satellite image of Mars's surfaceWhen asked what the bin laden likeness on the mars surface means the President stated “It means he thinks he can play games with the American people, but he can’t. He can run, he run to the ends of the earth and beyond, but he can’t hide”

The fact that he’s been hiding safe from the Bush Administration’s clutches for nearly six years seemed to elude the president. Yet adamant that they have made the breakthrough that might help his plummeting approval ratings and in turn his presidential legacy, President George W. Bush asked the US congress and the United Nations to pass bills and resolutions “for the funding of an exploratory mission to Mars to search and destroy the evil doers”

Tony Blair backed the President claiming he has intelligence to prove Al Qaeda was behind the missing Beagle 2 spacecraft.  America’s former political foe France, now led by newly elected conservative Nicolas Sarkozy also joined in support of the President.
However UN secretary general Ban Ki-Moon raised concerns over legitimacy of such an action.  “To spend such money on a mission of this magnitude without any substantial evidence of Al Qaeda’s Martian residence is foolhardy. We didn’t spend billions of dollars looking for the Viking II face, or indeed Judge Reinhold.  Maybe what we are seeing is not really what is there.”

Ki-Moon did support further probe investigations into the alleged Bin Laden Mars face, and has universally passed a resolution for international funding for such an expedition. However a reconnaissance mission falls well short of what the US government would like is scheduled to propose at the next UN Security Council meeting. At the meeting, scheduled for next month President Bush, along with the other leaders of the Security Council is expected to make their cases further for a full invasion of Mars.
