CT Sportsview - Chief Sports Writer With a degree in Drama Presentation under his belt, Michael Warrick first made his name on local radio in Grimsby. He became famous for his hard nosed appraisals in post match interviews. Often the local Grimsby players and managers would end up stammering attempting some kind of retort. This was when Michael would finish by giving his “now be on your way"
This abrupt ending would often not be followed with a segue back to the studio. This often caused confusion and made the local broadcasts compelling entertainment. It became such a catchphrase he still uses it today and is going to be the title of his autobiography. From Grimsby he went onto critical acclaim as host of Sportsview, a low budget cable show about the lower leagues of English football. He is now the chief sports writer of the Cheese Times. Interesting Trivia: Played Malcom in a MacBeth production by the Shakespeare theatre company Claim to Fame: Was caught speeding 94 in a 30 zone in Shropshire but was let off once he gave his catchphrase to the two giggling officers. Greatest Professional Achievement: “Becoming the chief sports writer for the Cheese Times of course, now be on your way!” – Michael Warrick |
