A Roman Chin The police were first tipped off, when Brian Garvey, 54 holidaying in Majorca, started to smell his chin as it slowly began to melt in the hot Spanish sun. He was shocked at first, and didn’t know what was going on. His family cut short their holiday and returned to England, Garvey went straight to his GP, and all was revealed.

An East Anglian Plastic surgeon has been arrested in connection with a great chin scandal.

Dr. Michael Hamstring was taken into custody over allegations that he has been stealing people’s chins and selling them on the black market.

The police were first tipped off, when Brian Garvey, 54 holidaying in Majorca, started to smell his chin as it slowly began to melt in the hot Spanish sun. He was shocked at first, and didn’t know what was going on. His family cut short their holiday and returned to England, Garvey went straight to his GP, and all was revealed.

Chin Facts

The chin was invented in Rome, 460BC by centurion Alanus Shearus as a grip at the base of the face under which a leather strap could hold a man's hat to his head.

It was illegal to own a chin in Bulgaria for eight hours in 1986. Bulgarians that had ventured out of their homes during this time were captured and imprisoned for twenty five years and had their chins removed.

Garvey had been in for a simple mole removal, but the surgeon had also taken his chin. Now it seems more people have lost their chins to Dr. Hamstring.

Chin expert at Oxford University Professor Jack Monterey states “Chin amputations have been on the rise. Chins are often taken as replacements for sub-par chins in Macedonia and other eastern European countries.”

Macedonian culture expresses the chin as the most important feature on a man. Often it appears Macedonians feel insecure about their chins and pay big money for replacements. “There’s also a huge black market in Russia, where people trying to find the rugged Stalin look will pay thousands of dollars for a more prominent chin.” Dr. Hamstring is being investigated for over forty chin amputations dating back just to October 2005.
